The Deatsville Inn is a newly renovated, modernized brick cottage, originally built circa 1820, in Nelson County, Kentucky. The Inn is located in a quiet rural setting in Cox's Creek, off Highway 245, about 35 minutes from Louisville and an hour from Lexington.
The closest town, 10 minutes away, is historic Bardstown, site of Federal Hill, the inspiration for Stephen Foster's famous ballad, "My Old Kentucky Home," sung before every Derby. In addition to tourist sites, antique shops, and unique, locally owned restaurants, there are the usual fast food and chain restaurants, plus a super-Kroger and super-Wal-Mart for groceries and supplies.
